APEC International Anti-Corruption

An article looking at the progress of the APEC Anti-Corruption Authorities and Law Enforcement Agencies Network; formed as a cross border forum to exchange information on corruption and bribery across Asia; spearheaded by China, Indonesia and the United States. At the top of the agenda was the repatriation of Chinese officials who had fled to the United States along with billions of dollars in stolen assets. Under the new initiative China presented the United States with a list of 150 economic fugitives, all believe to be residing in the United States; apprehending the guilty, one at a time.
